Beta server- suggestion 2

Alright, So I joined the Server and I realized that there was not a lot of plugins. Suprisingly, No Permissions either? I used to run a server, and I kept the plugins file, The Plugins file has these following plugins:
BTW.. I know it's a SMP, So you can delete what ever plugins you want from the plugins file.
Nchat
Essentials
Essentials spawn
Worldguard
Permissionsex (Perfectly noded)
Permissionsex has these following ranks: default, builder, builder+, mod, advertiser, admin, co-owner and owner. Each tank has it's own prefix with it's color.
worldedit
lockette (To protect chests items and doors)
Jobs (To earn money)
Stargate
McMMO (Gives it more of a SMP feel)
Mobarena (For fun)
and PushBall

we've had a beta server with tons of plugins before...

These are all decent plugins, but we're well aware of their existence. As far as I know, the intent is for vanilla survival gameplay with little to no lag. Adding a bunch of plugins is going to negatively affect both these goals, with the added bonus of adding "config hell".
